Federal programme data reports doctoral-level debt for CIP 51.23, which covers physical therapy and occupational therapy doctorates together and cannot be split. The blended figure runs from roughly $71,000 to $120,000 in federal loans at completion, but it is not a physical-therapy figure, so we do not present it as one and this page carries no cost.

The Doctor of Physical Therapy is three years of graduate study on top of a bachelor's degree, so seven years of higher education in total before the national licensing exam.
