Refunds
Refunds and cancellation
Last updated: 26 July 2026
If a paid tool did not do what this site said it would, that is our error and we would rather refund you than argue about it.
The refund window
Ask within 14 days of a charge and, if you have not made substantial use of the paid tools in that period, we will refund it in full. Beyond 14 days we look at it case by case and lean towards refunding where something genuinely did not work.
How to ask
Contact us from the email address on the account and tell us which charge and roughly what went wrong. You do not need to justify yourself at length. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, usually within five working days, though your bank may take a few days more to show it.
Cancelling a subscription
Cancel from your account page at any time. Cancellation takes effect immediately for billing — future charges stop and your stored payment details are cleared, so nothing can charge you again — while your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. You are not cut off mid-period as a penalty for cancelling, and we do not require you to contact anyone or sit through a retention offer.
If you subscribed through PayPal, cancelling here also cancels the agreement on PayPal\u2019s side. Cancelling only within PayPal can leave the two out of step, so please cancel here.
What is not refundable
Data-access agreements where a bulk export has already been delivered, and charges disputed more than six months after the fact, where the payment processor no longer permits a refund. If you are outside a window but think you have a fair case, ask anyway.
Reading is free
Worth repeating, because it makes most refund questions unnecessary: every published method, figure, failure rate and source is readable without paying anything. If you are considering paying only to see the research, you do not need to.
